Next up in the queue for Get On Down‘s Jukebox Series of 45s is a reissue of Camp Lo’s 1997 classic “Luchini (aka This Is It)” on a slab of cool blue wax. The Jukebox Series, launched this June, takes hit 12-inch singles from the ’80s and ’90s and rereleases them as 7” singles, complete with a smaller version of the original 12” artwork. The Camp Lo reissue will be the seventh release in the series, out of 10 total releases.

“Luchini” blew up Billboard’s “Hot Rap Singles” chart on its release, as well as making its way up to #50 in the “Hot 100” chart. The cut, featuring Bronx emcees Sonny Cheeba and Geechi Suede, was produced by Ski Beatz, perhaps better known as the producer behind Jay Z’s seminal Reasonable Doubt. The 45 also features the track’s original B-side, “Swing,” also produced by Ski, and featuring a cameo from Butterfly of Digable Planets.
