With his upcoming album Dark Matter in the works, Wu-Tang Clan MC GZA is laser-focused on the creative process -- so much so that he canceled some of his tour dates. While his fans might be disappointed, the rapper finds solace in the studio with what he calls a "rare" collaborator: Vangelis.

The composer behind Blade Runner and Chariots of Fire, Vangelis is yet another "rare" pick for GZA, whose collaborators in recent years range from producer Adrian Younge to jazz trio BADBADNOTGOOD -- to name a few. Showing just how far he can stretch his style, the rapper has shown the complexity that coincides with great lyricism.

However random the duo may seem, GZA and Vangelis are likely to continue showcasing the former's flexibility. Judging by his track record in recent years, the rapper seeks out boundary-pushing, genre-breaking sounds that take his craft to the next level. We will just have to wait and see what Dark Matter lay ahead.
